[ad_pod ]What does world-class actually mean?Seemingly no two fans have the same definition of what the term means, yet one thing many can agree on is that it should be reserved for the players at the top-end of the game. And former Tottenham Hotspur man Ryan Mason made a big claim on Twitter about the England national team during the Three Lions’ clash with Kosovo on Tuesday evening.
Mason believes that England have two world-class forwards in their ranks now.
Although he doesn’t explicitly name the players he is referring to, one can infer that he’s talking about World Cup Golden Boot hero Harry Kane and last season’s FWA Footballer of the Year Raheem Sterling.
Both men ended up on the scoresheet in the 5-3 win on Thursday, and Sterling’s performance in particular had Jordan Henderson waxing lyrical about the winger.
The former England international was clearly very impressed by what he saw from the two attackers on Tuesday, and now he’s taken the plunge and labelled the pair as world-class, whatever that means!
