Reports in Turkey claim Everton are chasing Stoke City midfielder Badou Ndiaye, who spent last season on loan with Galatasaray.
What’s the story?
According to Fanatik, translated by Sport Witness, the Toffees are showing an interest in Ndiaye this summer.
An international teammate of Idrissa Gueye, the 28 year-old joined Stoke in January 2018, but left on loan after they were relegated to the Championship.
Now, the report claims it is likely that he will leave Stoke this summer and that Goodison Park is a possible landing spot.

Would he be a good signing?
Targeting international teammates of your best players isn’t exactly a bad idea, as Ndiaye and Gueye have played together regularly over the last few years, building a rapport based on tenacious tackling and driving runs from midfield.
Ndiaye did have a very successful campaign for Galatasaray too, winning the Super Lig and Turkish Cup, making 33 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals.
However, he has never performed in a top European league, playing his best football in Turkey and before that Norway, and you only need to look at Stoke fans’ reactions to the transfer speculation to see what they think of the midfielder.
It could be due to his loan exit as soon as they were relegated or maybe it’s down to his limited technical ability, but the bet365 Stadium faithful clearly do not rate the 28 year-old, perhaps feeling he downed tools once they went down.
Either way, when a player is approaching his thirties and is yet to perform at a standard higher than the Turkish Super Lig, that should be reason enough to think twice about swooping for the Senegalese international.
