To put it bluntly, David de Gea is Manchester United’s best player by six hundred million miles.
The 27-year-old has developed into the outstanding goalkeeper in world football over the last few seasons, with his performances between the sticks continuing to astound.
The Spaniard, who is valued at £54m by transfermarkt.co.uk, came close to joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2015, but a faulty fax machine saw the deal fall through, and he ultimately signed a new four-year deal at Old Trafford.
As a result, De Gea will be out of contract at the end of next season, and a number of United supporters are becoming a little bit panicky regarding the future of the sensational goalkeeper.

De Gea has every right to ask for the £500,000 a week that Alexis Sanchez collects at United when considering his importance to the team.
Real Madrid might fancy one more push to sign Spain’s number one this summer whilst Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked, but the United fans are hopeful that a new agreement will soon be reached.
