According to reports on ESPN FC, Manchester United left-back Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is set to join Championship side Leeds United on a season-long loan deal.
ESPN FC says that sources close to the Championship club have confirmed that boss Thomas Christiansen has been looking for a left-back to replace the departed Charlie Taylor this summer and he is now closing in on his top target, who will provide competition for Gaetano Berardi and Tyler Denton.
Despite making 10 appearances for the Red Devils during the 2015/16 campaign, the 20-year-old made just six outings for Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers during an unsuccessful loan spell in the first-half of last season, and he has’t been involved in Jose Mourinho’s side’s pre-season preparations this year.
Man United supporters were quick to have their say on the rumour via social media, and while some weren’t sure that they would loan a player to one of their arch-rivals, others have urged the Red Devils to sell him on a permanent basis rather than loaning him out again.
