Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen hosted a Twitter Q&A over the weekend, giving a chance for fans of all clubs to reach out to him and ask their question of choice. In somewhat typical Celtic fashion, a fan made sure the Bhoys were represented by asking the Germany international his opinion on the Glasgow outfit. The Twitter user asked the £81m-rated player what he thought of Celtic Park, and perhaps to the delight of many fans he responded with great enthusiasm and praise for the home of the Bhoys.Ter Stegen has played in several brilliant arenas around the world, most notably his own home ground of the Nou Camp, not to mention the Allianz Arena and the Wanda Metropolitano.
Ter Stegen has only had the pleasure of playing in Celtic Park on one occasion – in 2016 – but he left with fond memories as he kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory for the Blaugrana.
Nevertheless, Celtic have clearly made a name for themselves as the home of one of the best atmosphere’s in Europe, it is just a shame that fans have too frequently been given an occasion to voice their tremendous support.
