West Ham United were not particularly easy on the eye during their FA Cup third-round replay against Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday night, but they got the job done.David Moyes’s side had to play the League One outfit a second time after their initial tie ended in a goalless draw at New Meadow.Once again, the Hammers drew a blank inside normal time and they were forced into extra time at the London Stadium. With Premier League survival taking priority, putting his players through another half an hour would not have been an ideal prospect for Moyes.Eventually, the East London outfit broke the deadlock thanks to Reece Burke, who netted his first goal for the club in the 112th minute.Moyes made a handful of changes to the starting XI, but some first-team members, including Manuel Lanzini and Mark Noble had run-outs.It was the young players, though, that managed to send West Ham into the fourth round of the tournament, where they will meet Bournemouth or Wigan. After the match, Noble took to Twitter to post a photo of himself hugging goalscorer Burke and celebrating alongside another academy graduate Josh Cullen.
