The San Diego Wave really tried to ride their wave from the week before, but fell to Chicago in a closely contested match up.
The Wave dominated in chances on goal, 28 shots to Chicago's nine. The Wave also dominated the game's possession, however the early goal conceded was the difference maker.
The Wave will now gear up to face the Thorns on Saturday.

Portland Thorns are in 7th place in the league standings and tied Angel City on Monday night 2-2. The draw was packed with action, with the Thorns having more shots on goal (seven) to Angel City's (four).
