West Ham United made it back-to-back Premier League wins with a 3-1 success over Cardiff City at the London Stadium on Tuesday night.
The victory might have come at a cost, however, with the team’s leading scorer Marko Arnautovic facing a period on the sidelines with a hamstring problem.
The Austria international was replaced in the latter stages of the first half, and his replacement, Lucas Perez, grabbed a brace against the Welsh side.
After the match, West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini confirmed that Arnautovic had suffered a hamstring injury, but did not put a timescale on his return.
Arnautovic has had his share of injuries this term, with the attacker admitting in October that he was playing with a knee problem.
The West Ham fans have been reacting to Arnautovic’s latest injury on social media, and a number are disappointed that the forward has not been given a rest.
Meanwhile, there are also those who feel that the 2017 arrival from Stoke City simply wants some time off over the festive period.
