Mark Noble has been a divided figure among the West Ham United fanbase for the last few years.
The club captain has been loyal to the East London outfit throughout his whole career, but his performances on the pitch this season have been under scrutiny.
The 31-year-old struggled alongside Jack Wilshere in the early stages of the season as the Hammers lost their opening four Premier League matches.
On Saturday, though, Noble shined in the centre of the park with Declan Rice to help West Ham earn a 3-1 victory over Manchester United at the London Stadium.
Felipe Anderson opened the scoring for the Hammers and Victor Lindelof inadvertently extended the host’s lead with an own goal.
Marcus Rashford pulled one back in the second half for United, but Marko Arnautovic rounded it off with the winner.
The experienced player was heavily involved throughout the match, and as a result earned plenty of plaudits from supporters on Twitter.
West Ham are certainly on the up having gone unbeaten in their last four fixtures in all competitions.
In the Premier League, the team’s run began with a 3-1 triumph over Everton and they followed that up with a goalless draw against Chelsea before beating United.
